Jerry was ready for the show. He saw that the other three came back each day so felt that he could survive a trip to Amsterdam. Plus, he started feeling better. All four traveled to Amsterdam today.
The other three took Jerry to the Pancake House so he could have the full pancake experience. The four followed a couple of podcasts through the city. (Don’t they sound sophisticated? Podcasts! They are lucky that they didn’t get run down by a bike while listening. ) Mostly, they stood in one place looking around while listening and chose to move as one pack. Today, the picture are highlights of their days in Amsterdam.
At the end of the day, they rode the metro to a suburb to pick up a car. Yes all you bikers, the group has wheels now. They have leased a Renault French car for a month. There were extensive driving instructions by our customer service guy whose name sounded like Ferry. Several times during the instruction session, Ferry said “I can’t touch the car or make an adjustment because it is your car”. His last statement was “Well, you have my number and you know how to call it but don’t. I can’t help you any more.”. (Debbie called it a giant kiss off).
As the group slowly rolled off the lot, Debbie wondered if Ferry was worried about them (She thinks not). Joyce did a stunning job at getting them to the flat with few cross words exchanged in the car. Joyce thinks that the French license plate will get her some sympathy from the other drivers as they will think that the group is French. Debbie has been practicing looking French as she peers out the window. Larry yells out “Oui” at random times.
