The last day in Dublin began with a visit to the Masonic Hall in Dublin. Debbie tried to get a tour but was unsuccessful.
HHR: What was the Masonic hall like?
Debbie: Well, they weren’t super friendly but it might have to do with me ringing the doorbell repeatedly and knocking on the door.
HHR: Did they open the door?
Larry: You do realize the door was open?
Debbie: Well, it seems like they could have gotten up and opened the door. Luckily, I was persistent and kept trying the door.
Joyce: I think they tried to give us the stink eye.
Jerry: We did get to go to the museum.
Debbie: We think they didn’t realize that Larry Eng was with us. Larry flashed some super special Mason stuff at them and he started buying Mason stuff and then they got friendlier. They didn’t let us go to any secret room.
HHR: Where did you go next?
Debbie: We had reservations at the jail. Cultural Moment:
Kilmainham Gaol is a former prison in Dublin, Ireland. It is now a museum run by the Office of Public Works. Many Irish revolutionaries, including the leaders of the 1916 Easter Rising, were imprisoned and executed in the prison by the British.
Larry: We had a tour of the jail. I pretended that I was a judge and put Debbie away for life.
Jerry: I had trouble getting Joyce to walk into a cell.
HHR: What was next?
Larry: Well, after the tour, the group went back to get Debbie and Larry’s luggage and then off to the hotel.
Debbie; We spent the night at the airport and left early the next day.
HHR: Could you sum up the trip?
Larry: We were gone for 8 weeks and visited 7 countries. We took 840,493 steps and walked more than 380 miles.
Debbie: We thank all our readers for taking the journey with us.
HHR: One last question. When does your next trip start?
Debbie: Feb 5th.
It seems like the answer to when does your next trip start should be tomorrow.-
That is correct
