Today was the first day without Lindsey.  Jennifer, Mia and Debbie decided to take a day visiting their favorite sites.  They began the day at Spenser Beach.  Mia enthusiastically tried out the snorkeling gear until she swallowed a lot of ocean water.  The enthusiasm waned somewhat after the ocean water drinking incident.

After lunch, the group made bracelets at the national park which are supposed to last for 30 years.  (Debbie’s broke by the time that they got back to the flat.  In no way is this a reflection on Debbie’s skill. She repaired with super glue).   They then headed to the macadamia nut factory.  Since Wendelin left, there had been great sadness at the macadamia factory,  However Jennifer was able to restore some of the joy to the store.  They also had photo opportunities.

Mia suggested that it would make her stomach with all the sea water in it feel better if she had a shaved ice.  Debbie agreed that it would make her feel better also since her bracelet was broke and all.  Jennifer said that she needed shaved ice to wash down all the macadamia nuts.  So shaved ice for all!.  Debbie had a  cone with vanilla ice cream, shaved ice (mango and passion orange flavorings) with snow on top (coconut milk).  Debbie would like to point out that she had a kiddie cone in order to hold down those calories.

Jennifer, Debbie and Mia took Lindsey to the airport.  After dropping Lindsey, the group proceeded on to Greenwell’s coffee farm in Kona.  The farm has coffee trees, a factory,  avocados, coconuts and other fruits.  Some of us were more excited about the farm than others.  Debbie liked the farm, Jennifer tolerated and Mia not so much.  We do not think that Mia will be returning.  She may be more beach material.

After some napping, the group had a more successful visit to the petrograph fields.

This was a sister day for Lindsey and Jennifer.  They decided to go snorkeling at Two Steps without Debbie and Mia.   It is a very popular spot.   It is a fairly protected bay and has good snorkeling conditions most of the time, but if the waves are big, please come back another time.  What?  If the waves are big, please come back?    Wait a minute.
