The day begin with a visit to the Split cemetery for more pictures . The location is scenic and overlooks the water.
The day turned warm as they headed out towards Dubrovnik. The trip was confusing for Larry. To get to Dubrovnik, a traveler goes from Croatia to Bosnia and then back to Croatia. So the travelers, hit the Croatian border (with 7 full buses in line), Bosnian border, Bosnian border, and Croatian border. Larry kept asking which country they were in and was surprised when they ended up back in Croatia . It was a long drive and Dan did yell out at one point passing cars “You crazy Croatian drivers this is how it is done.” (Not the actual words shouted imagine more passion).
In Dubrovnik, they stayed on the hillside overlooking the Adriatic sea which was cool. Not so cool was when you walked to the bottom of the steps and realized that you had to walk back up the steps. There is no elevator so one wrestles suitcases up and down stairs being escorted by cats. It takes a village.
Thus far, cats have been everywhere in eastern Europe. So if you’re cat person this is the place for you. Parker, Debbie is remaining true to you even though cats are circling her room and stalking her on the steps. Is it Croatia or Catia?
Sorry I couldn’t be there to help with the bags. I’m glad the cats could help though
I think that you would like Dubrovnik. It is close to Greece!
I think that it is interesting that Charlie is staying in places with superior amenities. That begs the question: why does Charlie have separate accommodations? Did he have cats too?
Debbie and Larry wondered about that also. We think that he sent his cats to them.
