The 31st and September 1st were travel days. Debbie and Larry have some travel tips for you.
- United should not call their snack chocolate quinoa a chocolate snack. In Debbie’s opinion – it tastes like dirt.
- Swiss Air has the tiniest seats ever but on the upside, they do give you chocolate to get off the plane.
- If you arrive in Zurich at 6:30 AM, you breeze through customs. If you arrive at 8:30, you wait an hour.
- The Zurich airport has a train station that will take you anywhere.
The group is riding trains to get to their destination. Now Debbie and Larry knew this but did they really comprehend? We think not. Their bags are underweight but not the easiest to swing up those 3 &*#^^ (substitute appropriate word which worsens as the day goes by) steps. Jerry and Joyce make it look easy. Debbie does not. At one point, Debbie considered kicking the bag off the train or throwing things out the window. Larry almost fell over backwards trying to get his bag on with a big backpack but was saved by a silver handrail which is now his friend. It would not have been pretty. Debbie thinks that they should start traveling with a bag man.
They changed trains three times. They gradually got better. And no, no train person waits to greet and help you on like in the movies. On the up side, Debbie has made many new friends that have helped her. To Debbie and Larry’s children, you may expect a bag from Europe soon.
- Final tip – Switzerland uses a different plug from the rest of Europe. Did any of our group know that? Was it also a surprise to you?
what a lovely photo of your bag looking out the window.
Yes, the bag really enjoyed the trip and asked to always sit by me but dreams were broken.
